I’m John. For years I lived behind a mask, carrying anxiety, depression, and the heavy weight of alcoholism. On the outside, it looked like I had everything together; inside, I was quietly unraveling. I chased every solution the world offered—therapy, distractions, quick fixes—only to discover that true healing wasn’t something I could manufacture on my own.
Hitting rock bottom became the turning point. In surrender, I found what had been there all along: God’s grace, steady and present, inviting me to wake up. Recovery became more than abstinence—it became a spiritual practice. Through daily prayer, grounding in the present moment, and the honest work of healing, my life began to change.
Along the way, a deeper truth revealed itself: the most meaningful growth came through serving others. When I stepped outside myself to help someone else find hope, something within me came alive. Service grounded my faith, strengthened my heart, and showed me that purpose is found not just in what we receive, but in what we give.
